Porcelain Veneers: The Process
Your dentist at Mickleham Dental
Will start with a consultation to discuss your goals for your smile and if veneers are an appropriate treatment option for you. At this appointment, your dentist will assess your teeth and gums and take a 3D scan of your teeth, to start the design process.
Once you are happy with the design,
Your dentist will prepare the teeth by, removing a very small amount of enamel from the front and sides of the tooth, allowing for the veneers to sit flush on top of the tooths surface to prevent the veeners from looking or feeling bulky or unnatural. An impression or scan of the prepared teeth is then done, colour-matched by your shade of choice, and sent to our lab for the veneers to be custom-made and hand-crafted.
At your next visit,
Once our lab has fabricated the veneers, they are then placed into position and checked for the correct shape, fit and shade. The teeth are then cleaned, and the porcelain veneers are then bonded to the surface of teeth.
